Jomar Tagatac

JOMAR TAGATAC*    is a San Francisco based actor that has been seen recently at Marin Theater playing Yephikodov in The Cherry Orchard and Dr. Wedgecroft in Waste.  Credits include Jacob Marley/Bob Cratchit in Center Rep's production of A Christmas Carol, Jay in the World Premiere of Writing Fragments Home(Hillbarn Theater), and Alfred Dolittle in My Fair Lady at San Francisco Playhouse. Other SF Playhouse include  Tom in The Glass Menagerie, Harry in The Paper Dreams of Harry Chin, Gordon Hirabayashi in Hold These Truths(Capital Stage co-production), Mark in Art, as well as roles in You Mean to Do Me Harm, King of the Yees, and Tiny Beautiful Things. A.C.T credits include Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol, Playwright in Vietgone and Vietgone 2: Poor Yella Rednecks, Tom in the West Coast Premiere of The Headlands, Max in the World Premiere of Big Data, and other roles in A Whynot Christmas Carol, Monstress, Hamlet, and Rhinoceros. Other Bay Area credits include Quang in Vietgone(Capital Stage), George in The Language Archive(Theatreworks), Gary in Gary: A Titus Andronicus Sequal(Oakland Theater Project), Jacques in As You Like it(CalShakes), Edmund in Lear, adaptation by Marcus Gardley(CalShakes), Banquo in Macbeth(Calshakes) and various roles in The War of the Roses(Calshakes). Jomar is a recipient of multiple BATCC Awards, and a Theater Bay Area Award for Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role. He was a Lunt-Fontanne Fellow in 2023. Jomar received his Master of Fine Arts degree from the American Conservatory Theater and is currently a Board member.
