Kate Wisniewski has been intimately involved with Shakespeare for the past two decades as an actor, producer, adaptor, educator, and as a founding member of upstart crow collective, a diverse female and non-binary classical company located in Seattle WA.  upstart crow collective’s most recent production, Bring Down the House (her co-adaptation of Shakespeare’s Henry VI plays), was part of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 2020 season. As an actor Kate has appeared at American Repertory Theatre, Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Seattle Repertory Theatre, ACT in Seattle, Intiman, Empty Space Theatre, and Seattle Shakespeare Festival among others. Kate is a graduate of the American Repertory Theatre Institute at Harvard. She is an adjunct faculty member at Seattle University in the Performing Arts and Arts Leadership Department and is a Certified Fitzmaurice Voicework instructor.
