Why?
Sound shadows exists to fill a knowledge gap — where traditional pro audio industry outlets fail to address the challenges that bipoc professionals face in pursuit of creative excellence
Estimates show less than (30%) of pro audio professionals identify as BIPOC.
A substantially higher than average percentage of BIPOC students who graduate from educational audio programs never achieve a career in audio.
The industry often relies on personal networks and connections for hiring, which can be challenging for BIPOC students who often lack these established connections.
